Worried- another lochia question

DS was born on the 13th, and after about a week my bleeding nearly stopped. There was just a small amount of brownish stuff and I barely needed to wear a pad. Then on Christmas Eve it started picking up. Ever since then it has been really heavy and dark red and stringy (TMI, I know). I'm filling up a pad an hour. I'm wondering if I should call my MW or if I'm just doing too much. Any thoughts?

mine did the same thing but not quite a pad an hour, less than that but picked up a lot

A super pad an hour or a pantyliner? If you're filling a super pad an hour, I'd give the MW a heads up but don't stress about it. If you start to feel lightheaded, shaky, nauseated, or get a fever or there is bad odor then it would be time for concern. It is probably okay though, you might just need more rest.

with DS #3 my lochia stopped completely after 10 days. and then at about 2 weeks, suddenly picked up again and was really heavy for a few days. not sure why it did that, but i didnt see any warning signs.

if you are soaking a pad in an hour, or are dizzy, call your MW.
