my little secret

So DH is a huge NFL fan (football) and he's anxiously awaiting the superbowl. He's hoping that Green Bay will make it this year, since they've had such a great year. Personally I can tolerate football, but not in the quantities he loves, about now I'm ready to go on football strike. (it's the last week in the regular season) So I am wishing to go into labour so I am good and busy during Superbowl, and I won't feel bad for making him miss the game. AND then the baby will always have a great party for her birthday!

My DH is obsessed with football, he is also a huge Green Bay fan (this is where I am from!). Right now I am listening to the highlights from the Giants game....tomorrow will be the GB game....I will be happy when the season is over!

that's funny... I'm sure we'll watch the GB game tomorrow too, okay i won't watch, it will be on in the house.
i've told him that next season when the baby is here I can't lose him for a whole day every week during football season. He can have one game a day.
I think I might be too mean, but golly, he's lost to me all day on Sundays. But he works very hard and he's so good to me that I should let him have an outlet.... kwim?

Well, tell your DH's sorry, because my DP is convinced the Cowboys will go to the Superbowl (he is a die hard Cowboys fan) and I will go into labor on that day. He keeps threatening that if they are in the Superbowl and I am still pregnant on the 2nd he is going to drop me off at my IP's house (where I'm giving birth) and he'll come back to get me after the game...I almost believe he's serious too!

(Cowboys and GB are in the same division so they can't both be in the Superbowl...I am ashamed that I know this!)

And Monday nights and the occasional Thursday night...And DP wonders why I won't let him get the NFL Network

We are Pat's fans here, well I am by assosiaction! Dh watched the game last night and I went shopping. I feel like the season went by fairly quickly this year, but then again, I've been focussed on other things!

As I write this my DH is bumming. The TV schedule says that the Packers should be on TV here, we live in NY, but they are not. So, now he is sitting listening on the computer AND playing a computer game! Errrr he makes me crazy!! I am so glad the season is almost over.

Since moving to the NE football season is even more stressful since we barely get any games broadcast out here. It seems each game he is in a tizzy trying to find out how he will be able to view or listen to it. Get this, two weeks ago we were driving back here to NY from WI during a big snow storm/blizzard, and of course the Packers are on. So, he calls his Dad and has him put his cell phone next to the TV and then listens to the game through the cell phone!:

Don't worry I know the break downs too... it's a little shameful, but I think it means that I actually pay attention when he's rambling on about something.
When GB and the Cowboys played the Thursday game when they were tied (GB lost, barely) DH drug me out to a pub so he could watch it, because I won't relent and let him get the NFL station either!

We ended up at Hooters (with about half the town!) because they were the only place in town showing that game.

I think there may have been some bar owners caught with their pants down that night, I don't think many realized how important a game was. We were lucky, we went to a nice Irish pub, I feel sorry that you had to go to Hooters!

Yep, the place was packed. We had to wait until half time to get sat {we got there when the game started} and they only had like 3 or 4 servers on. You could tell they had no idea that it was such a big game and not being shown any where else. I actually like Hooters! Buffalo shrimp, yummy! It's great now that they are non smoking.

We are cowboys fans here too and I have told dh with them finally having a good season its only fitting that they would go to the superbowl and I will go into labor that day. At my baby shower we did the guess the weight and day the baby will be born thing, I put feb 3 7pm. He says well I will have the game on while you are pushing so I can cheer for you both!

hee hee... it's been an unusually good GB year too, so DH and I had the same conversation last night! I hope someone has a SuperBowl baby, just 'cause. And it will be even better if the partner of the mama is a fan, and his team was playing!
