Does anyone have shreded latex pillows?

I have 2 shreded natural latex pillows from Savvy Rest and OMG do they SMELL! When I first got them I tried to sleep on one and the smell was overpowering. So I washed the outer cover and they've been sitting there since. Do they eventually air out? And what IS the smell? Is it dangerous chemically? I also have a latex mattress and a solid piece of latex pillow, and those don't bother me, but the shreded latex - I don't know, too much surface area? They stink! Anyone have one?

not normal!
I sell the savvy rest mattresses but I dont carry their pillows because they arent machine washable- I like the pure rest ones better- you can wash them and wash them until any natural rubber smell is gone.
I am sure the smell is not toxic...but that is not good to hear. I have one of their pillows in my store and it doesnt smell...????
