Felt house #2 and ?

I really like making these! I made the first one with a roof for my DD, and a second one w/o roof for my niece. The next one I make will have a peaked roof, just because I want to try out a new pattern design I thought of and see if it works. I might make that one into a "stable" for DD's little felt horses. Anyhow... Photos are at long last up on the blog! I would love feedback.

Also, my neighbor asked me to make one for her relative for $$. I have no idea what on earth to charge, or if I should even charge her anything (as opposed to, say, giving it to her as a gift for the child). I looked in the WAH forum, and am still unclear. Does anyone craft for profit?

I of coarse like the second one too.But I have no idea about that whole money thing.Sorry.I run into that problem myself.But I think it's mostly self esteem.Earlier this month I made a ton of felt bracelets and barrettes for a craft fair fund raiser for some friend's school.The whole time I was making them I kept thinking no one is going to buy this crap but when i gave the stuff to the mom she thought it was great and told me it was too good for the craft fair(apparently kids with money in their pocket will buy ANYTHING at the craft fair).

Maybe take a look on Etsy to see if you can figure out how to charge?

It's so hard to put a price on things that this...perhaps a swap? The mom could bring you dinner for your family one night or something along those lines? Either that, or just ask her to cover your materials maybe plus a bit extra for your time...
