My parents gave me an amazing doorknocker for my front door and I wanted to paint my door before I put it up, to make it more inline with the feel of the doorknocker.
The doorknocker is dark metal, heavy, kind of gothic looking (really just that it's heavy and dark and metal) and is a face. It does not look like this one, but has a similar feel: http://cgi.ebay.com/Large-Brass-door...sid=p1638.m118
Right now my door is white, no glass, just a six panel metal exterior door painted white on a house that is barn red with white trim. It's kind of a country look, so I need to do something that will look good with the doorknocker without clashing with the red house!
Any one have any ideas for me? I thought maybe something that just made the door look slightly aged or more old fashioned . . .
