so, is this a sign that my body is nearer to labor? i remember reading that certain hormone changes that precede labor make the body more sensetive to oxytocin. anyone have any insight?
just looking for that little thread of hope to hold on to

i'm actually really ok with having a janurary baby at this point. though, i cant see myself joining a new DDC. i like it here
I think so. I did nipple stimulation often. It didn't work until 2 days before I had her. It would start hard contractions then, and even kept going but they would fizzle out while I slept. Then I would wake up with them the next day. The second day was the one that was the real deal.

Wow - you're a brave woman!! Wednesday will be my first day of flying solo and I'm scared poopless. I may be handing out Vicodin to everyone that morning

Well, I did sort of hand my toddler Vicodin, in the form of a Blue's Clue's video marathon. :

I don't actually feel bad about it though. I think he really needs some relaxed time after being parented by everyone in my family & having his whole routine thrown off for the past 12 days. He's acting really happy today. I had almost forgotten what he's like when he's happy!

I do hope you have a peaceful Wednesday! That will be my 2nd day ever alone.

You know Cravenab00, I consider the complete emotional breakdown I had in my dh's arm's 3 days before my birth as my first official sign of labor arriving soon. It's where my birth story begins. I do hope that baby is in your arms asap!! But sans the condiments! :

Many ELV to Stellimamo, Starry_Mama, and MamaBlueberry! And to anyone else who needs them!

And Cravenab00- I will second what Aubrey said. I had an emotional breakdown a few days before labor started and was incredibly emotional up to the point of labor starting. I think it's definitely a sign of approaching labor.

40 w 3 days nothing new to report. Midwife appt today - we're going to strip my membranes on Wed. I know its highly controversial here but personally for me I'm feeling ok with it. My last babe was 10 lbs with shoulder dystocia and I really don't want another baby with SD again if I can help it. Who knows it may not even work.

Good luck stelli and starrymama!

OMG you guys are making me feel so hopeful -- no real signs of labor yet, but I've been crying for 2 days! : I'm laughing and crying all at the same time -- gah!

And GO GO STELLIMAMO!

Hey mamas. I had contractions all afternoon, but they sort of piddled out at 5pm or so. I just had part of a beer and I'm going to try and get a good night sleep. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day.....
