Isn't the only worry the possibility of bacteria being introduced to our gaping holes where the placenta used to be & causing infection? So if we're totally not bleeding anymore, that means the wound has healed & we should be safe?

I am done now, though, so for the past two nights we've tried to get things started - unfortunately Kieran doesn't like to be put down at night, so about the time dp and I start making out, baby starts-a-callin'. I don't know who is more frustrated, me, dp, or Kieran for me trying to put him down.

I THOUGHT I was done bleeding. I came up today and handed Reese to my mom and took a lovely long, hot shower. I had plans to go back to the basement and seduce DH...and I'm bleeding again! Not much, but dammit, it's there.

this is my first vaginal birth, so i'm not sure when "downstairs" will be ready, but the rest of me is!

Not in your all's ddc but with both mine we dtd less than 3 weeks after vaginal birth and it wasnt a issue, other than it hurt a bit. I honestly dont see any reason to wait if you are feeling Froggy then Jump : as they say.

dp is a good sport about my area being "out of order". felt bad, though, that there was no birthday love for him this year, just fooling around. still bleeding very lightly and feeling those sporadic piercing aches. guess i finally joined the broken crotch club!
