This is my third pregnancy, and I'm hoping that to make this one the healthiest yet.
With the first one, I gained over 50 pounds (um, I'm 4'10'') and didn't exercise. My nutrition sucked. I felt terrible, had heartburn, insomnia, leg cramps, edema, headaches, and I'm surprised I didn't end up with PIH. When I went into labor at 38.5 weeks I was so miserable! It tooks weeks before I was out of bed from the c-section.
Second one, eight months later. Totally pyched for my VBAC. Walked 5 miles 4 days a week, and was so focused on healthy eating. Gained 18 pounds and had ZERO annoying pregnancy issues. Felt fantastic. Fast, easy labor and great recovery.
Here I am again, and I just don't feel like I have the focus to keep up my exercise and diet. I know first hand how important getting exercise every single day is to my (and babies!) mental and physical health. I can't be eating fried food or sugar. I know weight gain is a touchy subject for some, but I think limiting my weight gain is very important.
So, in the spirit of new years I'd love to hear what everyone else is aspiring to do over the course of this pregnancy. I'm sure we all have some goals - please share!

: overindulged in all dairy products last time and I some what blame DD's cow dairy intolerance to it. Since I am still nursing though I think this will be easy for me since I avoid it anyway. So I really need to concentrate on other sources of calcium and protein. I also need to get back into my walking routine. DD and the dog need it anyway, I just wish it weren't so cold.
