Oh, can I add a small desperate plea for any wisdom regarding my post on the previous page?

It deals with ultrasound monitoring, HCG trigger shots, IUI with fresh sperm, etc. We're dying for TONS of wisdom on this.

I have no knowledge to share about your question, though. We've never used anything but frozen swimmers and we've never used monitoring or trigger shots. I'm sorry!

I don't understand ...

... my partner and I are having sex ALL THE TIME and I'm not getting pregnant! Even when I eat pineapple three times a day and stick my legs up in the air after ... after sex, I mean, not after eating pineapple!
Is it because it's silicone? (Again, not referring to the pineapple.)
Is that the problem?

Am I missing something?

yeah, and me and my partner have been having a REAL dry spell, and here i am knocked up! that's not how they told me it works in sex ed... and it was a pineapple free conception to boot!

glad you're having fun in the midst of all this business!!!!

I'll ask my friend who tried for years to get knocked up - I know that one of their last efforts was spinning down her husband's sperm and doing IUI, so she will know. Give me the weekend to find out?

WE ARE PREGNANT! 4 TRYS LATER. We switched to fresh sperm this month and BOOM! We are so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At what point is it ok to start despairing? I know I've only had 3 attempts but this break seems to be adding to my neurosis. Never before have I worried that I may have serious fertility concerns...but now...argh!!! I mean, I have NO concept of my own fertility. I've never had sex with a man, never been pregnant, never used contraception, never had a scare... I've missed a whole teenage rite of passage ...

I remember when Keely joined the board and she said she wasn't at all concerned/distressed/neurotic about this process and I thought 'cool, i hope I can be like that...' but now she's starting to get anxious and I am too

Good news, cookie!

MMM, I don't know. I wish I did. I worry all the time--I was all Zen until this morning when turtle and I had a Very Serious Talk. It's fine, but we're less Zen than I'd hoped.
