My screaming baby.. I need to cry/ vent........

Well my 2.5 week old has bad reflux and cries ALOT and theres nothing I can do for him I get so stressed and snappy at people when my baby is crying and I can't fix it. Today DS was crying so I was trying to console him when I found my 18 month old in the living room with her hands down her pants pulling out poop and smearing it on the carpet and toys. So after I'm trying to clean her and the living roon up while Ds is screaming in the swing, and my 7 yr old comes in and starts crying because I told him he had to redo his writing ( we homeschool) because it was to messy, now DD starts crying because I had to get her out of the tub ( she loves bath time) I had ALL the kids crying and I really wanted to just walk out the door ( I wouldnt) but man did I feel like I was gonna snap

Now little DS is sleeping in my arms, DD is crying in her crib because she doesnt want to nap ( hoping I dont wake to poop painting in her crib!) Big DS is crying because he has to keep redoing his cursive.

The joys of motherhood, thanks for listning

Oh no! I'm sorry. Hugs to you.
Do you know what is causing the reflux? I am suspicious my dd may have it.

You poor thing! BIG HUGS! I'm amazed you're still in the house! I'm breaking down, too, which is expected at day 3. I feel like I'm ignoring my 4 year old DD. I keep forgetting that I need to take care of HER too. I'm so focused on baby that I'm afraid I'm going to forget to feed/wash/love DD.

i don't know HOW you're doing it, but you are. you're doing the best you can and I guess that has to be good enough for now.

Off to cry again...

"Me time" used to mean a massage, or an hour in the tub, with a glass of wine and a good book. Now it means getting 5 minutes alone to pee. I hope you get at least that.

Oh geez, that's so awful that it made me giggle!! That truly is a great "joys of motherhood" story. And it's one that you will tell your old lady friends someday when we are all grandmas & get a good laugh out of it.

I hope your day gets better!

Heredity is the only thing I can think of Dad has reflux, Big Ds has reflux and a hyatial hernia and DD has reflux, and now little DS w/ reflux in the older ones dairy and and thing acidic ( like oranges, tom juice) aggravates it AND MAKES IT MUCH WORSE when they were all nurslings cutting out dairy in my diet helped quite a bit, previcid help my babies a little bit but it takes 2 weeks of taking meds to work ( we are only on day 5)

Thanks for all the support mamas! I really love you guys and dont know what I would do w/o you all

We're dealing with a lot of crying and reflux too, but fortunately, my toddler hasn't presented me with any poop-schmears ... I think that would have sent me screaming from the house at this point - you're amazing for still being around to talk about it!!

Oh reflux is so hard. DD was a reflux baby and all she did was scream for hous on end until we got meds for her. Many : to you.

the next time i'm pissed, i'm going to poo and smear it all over my toys.

oh wait..... then i'm still going to be the one to have to clean it.

i'll have to come up with another tactic, i guess.

stay strong mama, we're here for you!

That is too funny. I think I'll have that stitched on a pillow.
