Happy Birthday Maya! I loved the pics! It looks like everyone had a blast! You are one brave mama....30 kids.

Hi, mamas. I've poked in on these threads before and am thinking maybe I should make it a moe regular thing.

I just reread the book "Stir Fry" by Emma Donaghue yesterday. Anyone else read it? It made me pine for my wayward youth.

If I'm quiet lately, it would be because our neighbour keeps cutting our phone cable. its a long story, and no, its not the hot bi-mama neighbour who I had a crush on. Its the meanie CIO, spanking, punitive mama who lives between us. [/rant]

but its nice to know that when I do manage to get online, I can get a dose of my favourite soap opera, the days of our bi-lives.

hi mama!
welcome to the thread

good luck for your date :

I just wanted to point out one thing; I don't think there are any "regular" mamas here, I guess you'll be the first

Hey now, someone here has to be the regular one. How else can we have such a dynamic script for days of our bi-lives if there isn't a regular mom?

: : :

So, anyone want to help fund my way to visit my gf? We're coming up on our 6 month anniversary ( already?) and it would be nice to see her...

happy anniversary!
wait, 6mo!?!?! how did that happen???
bt I must say, I'd much rather fund you to come visit me :nana:

You are such a tempting visit, MJ... From my lineage, I should be good with a tropical area... I bet my younger and your daughter would be good playmates...

*sigh*

But to stay on topic, yes, it's almost 6 months. I can't believe it either.

Hmm, I really should get my outdated passport renewed...it would make it so much easier to just take a jaunt out of the country...
oooh, thanks for reminding me; I need to get my Israeli passport renewed too.
We're planning to go to visit Israel in the summer. Should be interesting, no doubt I'll see my ex gf (who longtime listeners will remember as the crazy woman who recently came out that she's still in love with me and can't be without me and is coming to australia). Don't worry, I have absolutely no plans to get back together with her, not even for a fling. She's so insane it makes me look like a regular mama

So anyway i need to advice. What would be a good first date? I havent been on one in forever with a girl and plus when i did i wasnt really dating more like <well you know> and i want to actually have a real relationship with her. I dont want to scare her away. I was thinking about taking her out to the tea room a great little tea house and then maybe a movie? Or maybe just going out for tea and see where that goes? I am really bad at relationships, and i dont know if i have ever been a a real just a date. So any advice would ROCK!
prm, going to a tea house is a great idea. I'd just take her to a nice place, sit and chat. then if it flows, maybe go to a movie; have one in mind, and know the screening times in advance. and be yourself. she's probably on some other board right now asking the same thing

Tea house could be fun - maybe get a board game (small) you can bring and learn together - mini scrabble was always fun when I was first dating DP - the travel size Helps conversation!

Oh, and welcome!
oh yeah, board games can be a good idea. I know some people really get into sheshbesh (backgammon).
me, I'd be too shy to bring a board game to a first date (but that's just me; I'm shy IRL)

KMM, what's you're senior title gonna be? I see that its coming up :

Well, I have thwarted your efforts! HHM went out for cuppa with me last night after seeing The Business of Being Born! HA! And she bought me gellato! mmmmm gellato.... I have promised to at a later time return the favor with some nice wine.

You may all be very jealous now. I'll wait.

Oh dear - Senior Title - I need to think on that.

I took a great class today on Photoshop CS3 - I'm so excited to now more and have shortcuts to what I'm already doing that I did not know. A great step up from self-taught and I'm taking two more classes in April (RAW Workflow & Layers/Masking) and I feel so excited!

The hot mama next to me was nice and we exchanged numbers but no sparks, but it is fun to have a new friend.

AND I'm working on a screening of The Business of Being Born in Hawaii next month!
