Very impressed!

My BIL's girlfriend just had a baby and she is formula feeding. The hospital sent home the new baby with acediophilus drops to be given before each feeding.

I tell bf'ing moms with babies with belly issues to take these... I take one a day. The pills disolve in my digestion system and help digest the large animal proteins found in dairy, etc before they ever get to his belly.

Formula fed babies can take the liquid form.

I think it is superb that the hospital is giving out this natural rememdy to ward off belly issues! I have never heard of a hospital doing this and I think it is great! I think it is a small step towards putting the babies comfort first.

Wow, I never heard of that. I wonder what the rationale is for giving them to every baby.

^Certain studies have shown that probiotics reduces infant colic. This was published in a medical journal so maybe the hospital is getting with the program, so to speak.
