Young living essential oils

Are they as good as they claim? I had heard rumors of controversary over their quality but didn't find much (about litigation, etc) in a Google search.

I thought that most of the controversy didn't surround the quality of the oils but the methods advised for using them and claims that were "out there". Interested in hearing more though...:

the price is what gets me. I can buy much cheaper just as good quality. I think like pp said its the claims they make how it will 'cure all' is the controversy.

I can't remember exactly now, but I heard awhile ago that they had new company owners or something and the quality went down, but not the price?
I really dont have anything to back this up at the moment, so maybe its just a rumor. My aromatherapy teacher would know.

Get back to us on what your aromatherapy teacher says. I'd be interested in hearing!

My naturopath uses oils from this company. She really likes them and says their good quality, but we haven't been seeing her for too long, so who knows if she's right.

My friend who is a massage therapist and makes her own salves and massage oils says this is her favorite company and that their oils are the most therapeutic.

that is a great site. thanks for the link.

the controvery that i heard was also the way they teach ppl to use their oils. most, if n ot all, oils are applied in fairly large doses directly on the skin.

You mean Young Living teaches that? If that's what you mean, I agree with that. Even on my friend's one month old she was told to use the tummy one (Di-Gize or something like that) full strength all over his feet and tummy. That was one sick little baby for a while after that!
