Almost 37 weeks and holding. BH are getting stronger each day, but they do not progress beyond being annoying. Sleep is a distant memory. What I would give to fall asleep and stay asleep for a decent length of time.

I guess I sound a little grumpy. Not too much really, just tired and ready to be done with this long journey.

I am pretty achy, lots of pressure, constant low back ache, etc. A couple of days ago I was telling people that it would be at least a week or two but now I'm starting to think that I might have a baby by my due date. I guess we'll wait and see!! I hope that everyone else is feeling well and ELV to everyone hoping for them!!

This is me too. I am 38 +5. A day behind you. I am feeling very strong back aches in the evenings until after midnight and strong crampy like twinges in my cervix that make it hard to stand up straight or even walk. But hoping that baby will decide to come soon. Don't think I can handle 2 weeks of this!

37.5 weeks here. had DC#1 at 39 weeks and DC#2 at 38.5 weeks. don't feel this one is anywhere near ready. or maybe i'm not. who knows, but this baby is floating high. BHs remain constant (same as they've been for the past 25 weeks). no other signs.

my provider wants to do an internal today - i'm debating it still. my second labor progressed rapidly (arrived at the hospital at 10 cm) so she doesn't want me off running errands far from home if i'm showing signs of getting closer. i self-checked last night and still feel relatively closed (for a 3rd time mom at least) and barely effaced. part of me doesn't mind the check just to hear how accurate my self-assessment is. i'd say 1-2 cm and 20% effaced. we'll see what she says in a few hours.

38 weeks and 3 days...

Hi All...

I've mostly been a lurker here, but wanted to say "hello."
I'm 38 weeks and 3 days with daughter #4. We are planning
on naming her Gabrielle Hope. My other girls are Hannah Grace (6),
Eliana Faith (4), and Bethany Joy (2). We are a Christian homeschooling
family. I spend most of my time over at the Traditional Foods tribe.:
I'm definitely feeling tired, crampy and having a very hard time sleeping! It's
funny how most of us have the same symptoms. Definitely praying that this
baby waits until Sunday night because that's when my parents get here from CA to take care of my other three!

God bless,
Holly in TX

I'm 38w5d and nothing is happening. I'm also glad to have made it to January, but I am now ready. My aunt, who will take care of DD during the big event, is going out of town Jan 8-11 so I am hoping the baby comes before or after that. My mw estimated the baby is 6 1/4 lbs as of today. I'm ready! I was induced at 42w with DD and do not want to go that long again.

Checking in here.... I am 39 weeks today and due Jan 9th. I am feeling really ready to have this baby. I'm sore and I waddle around like a penguin. My pubic bone is in so much pain that getting up and moving around isn't pleasant.

My first born came during the 39th week .... so I'm hoping this one will come during the 39th week too.

I look forward to checking in on a daily basis to see everyone's progress.

this is a great thread idea - thanks for starting it!

to-fu, you may or may not feel a dropping sensation, but you most likely will notice after the fact that your baby is lower. and other people will tell you about it too, probably.

my due date is saturday. i lost at least some of my mucous plug earlier today, which motivated me to pack dd's overnight bag, which motivated me to clean her room... a bit of nesting there. i feel like i'm in early labor, but it could be super duper early labor, or it could just fade away (or, you know, maybe i'll have a baby soon???) i was hungry and tired, and was able to eat and nap for a bit. i have a back ache and various contractions, no pattern, but they were there pre-nap, during nap, and now. maybe tomorrow will be my day?

I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow and I started losing mucous today.
I am not ready yet, hopefully I stay in this transitional place for awhile.

I know my body is getting ready though...I just need to catch up with it.

Hello! I'm either 38w2d (according to mw) or 38w (according to OB) today. My first came at 39w1d (and was 10lb4oz) so I'm trying to be ready any time now. I'm just waiting for the PUL to get here so I can make the diaper covers! I've just been sitting around drinking RRL tea and crocheting blankets and wool diaper covers. My poor 3 y.o. keeps telling me how boring I am, but seriously it's hard to move! Plus, my dh has been off for the holidays so I can be super lazy and he picks up all the slack! Poor guys has done all of the "nesting" that has been completed in this house. I may get the urge to do it or think it needs to be done, but then I'm back on the couch with my project and he's completing the chore (no matter how ridiculous, such as my absolute desire to make sure all of our Halloweed decorations were organized well--no idea where that one came from). Anyway, I'm lucky to have such a great guy around....too bad he goes back to work on monday and isn't "authorized" to take any time off for the birth or after!

I am 39 weeks today, one week until the due date. I had dd on her due date. No lost mucus plug (yet), no contractions, nothing really to report. Lots of pressure, just waiting, waiting, waiting for something, anything really. I have increased my walking, but am getting more and more uncomfortable. Lots of pubic and hip pain. Baby also seems to be moving a little bit less, he is moving, but movements are much smaller now. I bet he is very cramped in there.

My dh thinks I will have this baby on the 6th...I have no clue when it will happen.

check-in/-check-up

I am doing really well...though feeling HUGE. I found my first stretch marks...right around my navel...but I've been lathering myself with oils since month 4 after every shower...so I've probably sustained fewer than might have gotten.
Baby is in good position still...and all is well. I get kicked to crap daily and I've been getting Braxton Hicks cntx daily.

Hoping for more snow...because it puts me in a good mood.
:::
Bought out the organics section at Babies R Us today...trying to get everything done before baby comes...and/or I don't want to wander the store anymore.

Getting more excited...less nervous now.

I don't know how I missed this thread but I'm missing alot these days. My EDD is Sunday and I'm really shocked that I made it this far. The pelvic pressure/watermelon between the legs feeling in unbelievable and whenever I stand up I have super intense pressure on my bladder. I woke up last night feeling strangely wired and a bit dizzy but little to no contractions. On the other hand I also had little to no contractions before my other 2 labors, one which started 10 days late and the other a week late. I'm just so tired of tired, awkward, beached whale syndrome.

Hi...nothing really here to report.

I'll be 40 weeks somewhere around the 3rd week of the month. I don't really know exactly how many weeks I am. My other two went around 41 and 42 weeks. My body is also very done being preggo, but I don't think I'm really close yet. I did get adjusted today, sacrum was locked up a bit, so since then I have been having more pelvic pressure. Baby is vertex thank goodness, so I guess I'm ready to go. Well, I'd like to hold on at least another week, because I actually still have a lot to do around the house. I also want to do a really agressive yeast regimen, as the last thing I want is this baby to be colonized with the crap right from the get go. This happened with my daughter and we had real issues from the beginning. Anyone here know a lot about Oil of Oregano. Chiro recommended it for yeast. I know it is contraindicated in pregnancy, but at this stage of the game, does it really matter? Hope all are feeling good. I know it gets antsy at this point, but let's just try to remember that the Baby knows when it is ready, and we all want it to be at THAT point!!! I have an idea, if anyone wants to, let's add some affirmations to the DAILY-Check In. Like if you are worried about something, have some hesitations, need to work through some mental things, etc., then we can all be sending positive vibes each other's way, yk?

I'll start...

I have a strong uterus. My uterus will be very effecient in helping this Baby birth. Once my placenta is born, my uterus will clamp down, and I will have minimal bleeding. I am confident and prepared!

I don't know about using Oil of Oregano during pregnancy but my husband used it for a while to try and kill his toenail fungus and the stuff is very potent. If used straight it can burn your skin and he's got a very high pain tolerance. I don't remember what concentration he ended up being comfortable with but it was very diluted. I'd definitely test it on your hand before using it anywhere else.

I think this is a great idea.....off to find a good affirmation....

I'm here . . . 36 weeks according to ultrasound, 36 weeks and 4 days according to conception. Either way, still have time to go (and baby CANNOT come until 37 weeks, so I can have her with my midwife). Anyway, I'm hoping she drops soon, her butt is pushing up OVER my ribs and moving my breast around, which is rather uncomfortable. Besides, I think it will make me feel like something is happening. I haven't had any BH that I've noticed and while I know they can get uncomfortable, it's one of those things that would make me feel like my body is preparing for labor.

I've been really trying to practice my squatting and tailor sitting, hoping I'll get up from it one night and find baby lower

It is fun to watch all the rest of you progressing along!

My body knows exactly what it needs to do when it needs to do it! I am completely made and whole. WE are healthy!

I'm 37.5 weeks and despite having contractions for MONTHS I'm still pregnant and not showing any new signs. Just these annoying contractions. My sides are sore and I'm constantly tired and in a horrible mood. Meaning, I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever and I'm probably right!

Today my slump of being completely tired all the time fought hard with the nesting urge that is creeping back and I ended up cleaning like a madwoman for a couple hours and then dropping down to sleep. Tomorrow I plan to chuck everything from the baby's room, it is our storage room and I've been slowly working on it but I'm tired of all the crap still in there so I'm going to get rid of it all tomorrow. I don't care where it goes, but it getting the heck out of there!
Be careful with that chucking urge!! With my first pregnancy, I just threw everything into trash bags and literally chucked it into the garbage without any remorse!! DH was remorsful though!
