delayed vax friendly doctor in DFW area?

There have been some threads on this topic previously, but no one has given an answer. So i figured I would post it again. I'm in Mansfield TX right now and due in Feb. I'm hoping to find a doctor who won't harrass me about giving my daughter all of her vaccinations right away. Please send me your suggestions! thanks

I think there's one in Coppell, but I'm not familiar with that far south. You might have good luck with all the DOs in Ft. worth, though.

I have a whole Excel document for more "alternative friendly" peds/DO in the DFW area. This the names on the list that might be closest to you.
I dont know them all personally--but they some how got their names on this list of being docs who were ok with some alternative thinking. I just started calling the ones in my area and asked about insurance,their views on vaccinations, home birth, breastfeeding and antibiotics--and found one that I love. ( but I am in north fort worth and I doubt you want to drive all that way!)

Can I post the entire list? Can that in any way cause any problems or issues? I would think not but I have had some problems with not being clear on what is ok to post and what is not--and I dont want to get into trouble !! =)

I can PM it if it will paste without loosing too much format--its in excel and earlier I had to tweak it a little to make sure it was not to hard to read! I love sharing it though-lord knows we spend too much time searching for a care provider who will accept us just as we are!

We use Mark Jones with Fort Worth Pediatrics on Henderson, and he is pretty easy going about it if you are informed in your decision. He really hasn't said anything about DD only having had a few of hers at 16 months.

I am looking for a doc close to Grapevine and have so far been unsuccessful.

Our ped, Dr. Mac in Coppell, is not a bad choice and fairly close to Grapevine. We don't vax or do well baby checks and he is perfectly OK with that. He has also not said a word about me nursing my toddlers.

I don't know what he is like if you go often to a ped, but he definitly respects that we can manage most healthcare issue on our own but is there for us when we need something more.

We go to North Texas Health and Wellness Center in Denton and LOVE IT!!
It's about a 30 min drive for me but well worth it.

Ped review update

We just had our 1st appt with Dr. Bain in Frisco this week and I REALLY like her. It was for 1 and 3 year well-checks for my kids.

-She didn't assume we vax (we don't) and didn't give us any guilt trip or "schpiel" or even make us sign off on any vax.

-She discussed with me her general discomfort/frustration with western/allopathic medicine in general (other than in ER cases, etc) and how she frequently refers to alternative/complementary med people before western/allopathic people when her patients have concerns.

-She cheered me on for BFing past a year and was excited to hear I had BFed through pg and tandem BFed for 6 months.

-She didn't try to retract my intact 1 yo son.

-She had samples in her office of probiotics and coupons for organic groceries and things like that. She also discussed nutrition with us and promoted organic, whole foods and avoidance of HFCS, trans fats and processed foods. (She also has classes on nutrition and preventative health for her patients)

-She had a GREAT bedside manner with both kids and did really well with both, she actually seemed to LIKE kids (unlike some peds I've seen).

Anyway, 2 thumbs way up from us for Dr. Bain!

We just moved to DFW and I found Dr. Anuradha Agrawal in Frisco through my nanny who also doesn't vaccinate. We've only seen her once when my 8 month son was sick, but she was ok that we weren't vaccinating, actually listened to my concerns about vaccinating, and was glad I took my son off solids and was exclusively breastfeeding while he was sick. She has an office in Dallas as well.

Just wanted to update here (was it here that I posted before? lol) that Dr. Bain in Frisco is awesome! We had seen her for well checks for my kids and she was very cool, totally pegged us as non-vaxers and didn't give us a shpiel or anything to sign. We saw her for our first sick visit and I was so impressed that she recommended some natural remedies for my daughter's ears instead of automatically reaching for the Rx pad.

Today we saw Dr. Chartrand in Allen. He was super! Great with DS, who doesn't usually meet new people well. His office doesn't feel medical AT ALL and he really talked to me about vaccinations. We had to drive about an hour to see him, but I definitely think it was worth it. His office is in the Allen Birth Center. We're uninsured, but I felt like his fees are reasonable (he doesn't file insurance, but will give the codes so you can). He said DS was lucky to be in cloth diapers and encouraged me for BFing as long as I did.
