Nursing moms shouldn't pump their own gas? - Page 2

It doesn't matter to me. My husband believes that it is a Federal Law that wives should never pump gas.

Yeah, I'm lucky!

Good thing I'm alone right now - that made me laugh out loud!

I'm PG, and I have DH change the litter box because, hey, I'll take any excuse not to do it!

I got a good 4 years off from cleaning the litterbox, woo hoo! DH took over and didn't give those duties back until we got a new cat.

i read on a bag of litter that pregnant and nursing women should not change the cat litter so i tell dh "i"m nursing you'll have to change the cat's litter boxes. it says so on the bag."

My take on the gas thing, and the reason I usually try to get dh to do it, is I a, concerned that gasoline, or something else unclean from the gas pump will end up on my hands and then touch my breast. I can't imagine fumes being a major issue on that level.

Here's a thought that just occurred to me, before I left this forum for the evening...

If it's dangerous for the babies and the mothers, maybe it's dangerous for EVERYONE and something ought to be done about THAT.

No chocolate? Are these people insane!? When I was pregnant I worked next to a Lindt chocolate store. It was heaven.

We seem to be reverting to the Victorian era, when women were advised to avoid just about everything because their incredibly fragile systems could not withstand the slightest stress. The only difference is that Victorian women were simply told to stay quietly indoors when pregnant or nursing, while modern women are offered the options of using "safer" manufactured substitutes.
