Seriously, you'd think I would know by now when actual labor is here and when its just braxton hicks.. but these things HURT not to the point where I cant move but to the point of me kinda holding my breath on some or breathing through them a little weird lol.. and some dont hurt just feel tight... and they arent regular lol.. But they have been coming since 11:17 heres the pattern lol
9 min, 9 min, 5, 4, 8, 18, 7, 3, 6, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4, 7, 3, 2, 6, 2, 2, 4 and Ive lost a LOT of mucus plug in the past few days

AGHHH why cant a sign just pop up saying "Okay you are in labor" or "Nope, not today"

I have thought AT LEAST once a day for the past 2 weeks that "this might be it!" I totally feel your pain. I want the flashing neon sign!!
Man, I would LOVE a sign like that.

Hang in there, mama!

Yeah, bring on the labour sign! I'm going to be in the exact same boat as you.

Sounds like things are happening for you, though! Let us know how it goes!

I want a sign too!

I was in L&D for like 4 hours on the 30th, just to be sent home! Dang it! LOL

Eh, we'll see!

Good luck to you!

I hope he stays in there (until the 12th,) or he hurry's up, so you can recover BEFORE the 12th LOL!

My husband is freaking out because he doesnt know what to do lol. Hes working in Jacksonville and Im in Orlando until the move lol.. and he doesnt know when to come down here lol my last labor was 6.5 hrs and its an almost 3 hr drive so hes like aghhhh what to do what to do lol

OW! They didn't hurt previous preg- I guess they get stronger with more bebes? Every morning I wake up thinking I'm in labor or going to have horrible diarrhea. But nope! Just practicing for the big day
post #9 of 14
I hear ya!! I'm fairly certain mine are actual contractions...just prodromal. It would sure be nice to know upon waking if any particular day was the day, though. Dh took the day off today because it looked like this might be it, but still no. He doesn't have any paid time off so it was unpaid. : We're going to have to make the same decision tomorrow. In labor? No? Go to work? No?

Add me to the list of contracting uteruses (uterii?). I have had several stop-and-breathe contractions the past few days, but no progression. They have been much stronger with this pregnancy.

They are good for a laugh though -- my poor dh puts on a good sweat every time it happens. Poor guy is about to crack from the strain. Yes, I realize that is a little mean; my body is getting back at him for being out of town while I suffered through 3 months of hellish morning sickness.

yes i have definately had contractions all morning but they aren't regular. i figured since i had given birth before i would just know from previous experience when it was time. but last time i didn't have any Bh or regular contractions until the moment that i went into labor and they started 7 minutes apart and got closer together and ds was born about 15 hours later. it was very text book. this time around i have had bh contractions since like 12 weeks. just recently my contractions have actually become painful like in the past two days. i don't have diarea but i have taken two bowel movements a day for the past few days as well, which is unusual for me. ofcourse i don't remember having diarea when ds was born. i also never lost a mucus plug or had bloody show. is it possible to not have a mucus plug? or to loose them really early on of something? i know this time i thought i lost my plug at like 28 weeks or something.

I am with you all. My water broke with both my girls so I am hoping that will happen again or I may not figure out I am in labor until the baby is here

Mine get much worse in the evening. Anyone else?
yup me too, stupid prodromal labor... Mine are worse in the evenings, too. My favorite are the middle of the night contractions that keep me awake and peter out by the time my kids get up. If I'm going to be woken up at 3am with contractions they really should be *actual* labor : I'll take one of those signs, too. We have an hour's drive to the birthing center and I had a fast labor with ds2 so I'd really like to know when I need to go!
