Thanks.I'll definitely let you know what I figure out.My daughter is 3 and would love to carry it around so I'm going to have to come up with something.I really want the top to be removable though.I think it will be more fun to play with if she can get in there from the top.

To attach a roof, maybe 3 or 4 little tabs with snaps? The tabs could be somewhat concealed on the underside of the roof, and just at the top of the house. That way, the roof could be removed when necessary. Just a thought.

I made another house (although not as cool as the chinacat's!), and attached the removable roof with velcro tabs. I am currently making another one with a recycled zipper to attach the fold back roof (on three sides). The one I made for DD is sewn on one side and the flap buttons on the front... but I bet you could make a button or two on each side. If you had those cool flower buttons (or some of those other crafty type theme buttons) that would look great!

Yay! Good Job! It's so encouraging to see families working together to be kind and thoughtful with one another. I think it's great to see your boys making gifts for their sibling and Mama making gifts for her cubs! You've inspired me Thank you!

Ooooo. Purty! I love the textured sewing you did. I take it there were no plans, you just eyeballed it? You could totally sell a pattern....
