Well, that was my good deed for the day!

I was at my ob/gyn's office today and made sure to leave a recent Mothering issue (in amongst all the Parenting, Parents, Child, and American Baby magazines) right there in plane view. Hope a new mommy or mommy-to-be sits down and picks it up!! Also left a recent Magic Cabin catalogue. I'm really enjoying this! I also left another Mothering in the waiting room when I went to get my little one's blood drawn for a test.

i actually donated a subscription to my local library.
I felt good helping Mothering and getting another word out there.

On a related note, when I was at the library yesterday I noticed a big, hardcover copy of a particularly unpleasant looking Dobson book regarding boys. It was on display on one of those picture stand thingys. So I took it off, flipped it cover-side down, put the stand on top of it and put another completely unrelated book on top. Tomorrow I'm thinking of going back and replacing it altogether with a copy of "Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys" which I love.
