Baby Jack arrived at 7:05pm on Dec. 28, weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. and measuring 21.5 inches long. He has a full head of hair, chubby cheeks, and cherubic little lips.

Mommy tried her hardest to stick to her birth plan, but since her labor was initiated by ruptured membranes, she ended up on pit after 14 hours (trying to prevent infection, blah, blah). 22 hours later Jackaroo was still hanging tight and Mom was in desperate need of rest, so she opted for an epidural. Sadly (or blessedly, she's not sure which yet), the epidural didn't take and only numbed Mom's right leg. Six hours later, following three hours of pushing, Jack finally made his debut appearance!

Congratulations and happy birthday to baby Jack!

Sorry the birth didn't go as planned, and I hope you're all enjoying the babymoon now that he's finally made his debut.

Congratulations mama! My first birth was an induction and after 30 hours ended up with an epidural....that pit is NASTY stuff....if I ever need it again (heaven forbid) they will have to hook up the epi first. You are an amazing mama.

Congrats on the birth of your baby. Sorry to hear your birth was so harrowing. 3 hrs of pushing - UGH! You survived! I hope you have a recouperative babymoon.
