This has nothing to do with our December babies, but I've come to rely on you ladies for support, so I'm posting anyway!
My FIL is dying. He has COPD, and has continued to smoke the past two years he's been battling with it. He is now in the hospital on constant c-pap, and even with that the doctor's have said there is no air getting to his lungs. It's a matter of waiting for his time to come, now. They said he could hang in an hour or a day or two even, but there's nothing more they can do for him but keep him on high doses of morphine to keep him comfortable. He's said his goodbyes to everyone, including our girls (he was even able to hold Reese for a minute before he lost consciousness). He's been pretty much unconscious since around 4pm.
And, my dad went into the doctor for a pre-surgical visit yesterday. He was supposed to have surgery on his foot to correct some bone deformities. They wound up finding a couple of issues with his heart. He goes in for cardiac testing tomorrow to see what treatment, if any, will be needed and if he's still okay'd for his surgery on Monday. This is just one more thing in a long laundry list of problems he's had arrise over the last four years; colon cancer, early-onset Parkinson's (he's 51 now, his dx was almost 3 years ago), back injuries (surgery 2x), ankle deformities and arthritis (surgery 2x + the one they're waiting to do), diabetes, depression, etc.
If you ladies can spare some extra good thoughts or prayers for our families right now, I'd certainly appreciate it. Also, if I'm MIA in the near future, you all know why.

Your family is in my thoughts.
