Still here. Some of you may have read that I was thinking about trying blue/black cohosh. Well, I *did* try it this morning, and it made me gag and dry heave. I'm not sure if I'm going to do that ever again. Gross!

Sorry - that just seems totally unfair at this point in the game {hug}

Thanks. I just tried mixing them with juice and taking it that way, and I immediately puked. I guess I just have to wait.

That sucks about having braxton hicks last night! I had a few BIG contractions last night, nothing organized, but painful, and I got really excited too. I'm WAY overthinking EVERYTHING at this point.

Me too. I am currently making a mountain out of a molehill of mucous.

Sigh.

Tee hee. Me too.

Did the castor oil yesterday afternoon, had some contractions from about 10 pm to 11:30pm, then went to sleep and if I had anymore ctx, they were too weak to wake me up

Still, going to refuse induction at my doc appt today, put it off 'til Monday I hope.

Oh, 41+6 today.

A friend of mine tried to cheer me up by saying her daughter was 12 days late, but the story ended with a c/s for ftp. Um, not the kind of cheering I was looking for, thanks.

Dude, seriously. There's a time and a place for various sorts of birth stories.

I wish you great strength of will in refusing the induction. I staved off an induction over a 41+6 weekend with DS by offering to go into L&D at my hospital both weekend mornings for an NST. The doc didn't like it, but she agreed to it.

Hi everyone - I'm still here too, nothing happening, no changes - 41 weeks today.

I saw my midwife this afternoon, we'd planned to do a sweep but because the head isn't engaged she wasn't happy to do it because of the risk of rupturing membranes and cord prolapse. So I have an appointment at the hospital on Monday and will have to decide if I'm going to give up my dreams of a lovely homebirth and book in for an induction instead.

Really don't know what to do - I'm so uncomfortable and fed up but at the same time I do NOT want to be in hospital at all....ugh.

Hope some of you make some progress today anyway!

Ah what a bummer! Today around 1030 am I started having painful ones 10 min apart, so i started getting excited. by noon they were THREE minutes apart! And all crampy and promising! but by 1pm, they'd gone back to 15-20 min, no pain, nothing. aaaargh. The people at the ultrasound place told me they recommend induction IMMEDIATELY since I'm so far past my due date. HOWEVER, the U/S and NST show that my DD is doing wonderfully, and the fluid levels are great! so there's really no good reason to induce me, just their "rules" which don't affect me. If i'm still preggo monday i have another appt for NST where i'll get to avoid their induction suggestions again. hah. oh well, I can deal

mrsrayray, if you're still doing the castor oil tonight, I wish you very good luck!

I'm still here at 40 weeks, 6 days with no signs of labor. Just my usual Braxton-Hicks. I am starting to get a little impatient. It's just the "not knowing when it's gonna happen" that killing me!!

Sending labor vibes to you all! :

It is 5 in the morning here in the UK-Saturday the 5th and my strong contrax are coming every 5 minutes. I like the number 5 right now!

Oh, and I have now found out that *ahem* clitoral massages during contrax are THEE best way for me to go through contrax! WOW! night and day difference from just breathing through it like I had been doing, as in what was once super intense almost to the point of painful, is now a breeze! Weeee! Yippee! I can do this!

sidenote: I am a sloooow typist and it took me 5 contrax to get this typed out! 5 is *MY* number!
