Ah! How could I forget Van Morrison! Do you like Tom Petty, too? I love "I Won't Back Down." That is sure to get me going.

I have very eclectic musical tastes that run from Classical to Folk & Rock-with a healthy sampling of Jewish Music,Also, if there are strong melodic women's voices involved, all musical boundaries are off however, there are certain songs that I just need to hear sometimes:

When I am missing my little sister (mostly songs she liked):

Battlefield Band-One of the most beautiful and unusual songs I've ever heard:

her favourite dancing song:

She loved anything Erasure, and especially this:

My own feel better music:

http//youtube.com/watch?v=S7ItqmNqtFE&feature=related (yep,I love GD!)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=oC0zpuCqo_w ( I like the CSNY version too- but I love anything old JA)

Wow. If I'm down most of these songs would just annoy me. I would need something in between...something that might help me acknowledge my bad mood but also lift it. I like this one...

Save it for a rainy day - the Jayhawks

Pretty little hairdo
Don't do what it used to
Can't disguise the living
All the miles that you've been through

Looking like a train wreck
Wearing too much makeup
The burden that you carry
Is more than one soul could ever bear

Don't look so sad, Marina
There's another part to play
Don't look so sad, Marina
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day

You neve make your mind up
Like driving with your eyes shut
Rough around the edges
Won't someone come and take you home

Waiting for a breakthrough
What will you set your mind to?
We stood outside the Chinese restaurant
in the rain

Don't look so sad, Marina
There's another part to play
Don't look so sad, Marina
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day

Also Ben Harper, Jack Johnson or Michael Franti are all good mood lifters Alison Kraus can be sort of melancholy but her voice is so gorgeous that it makes me feel happy

I keep Old Motown in my car for when I get caught in traffic.

EW&F all the way. The only group my entire family loves.
