baby leg warmers

I would love to make some of these. I EC part time and these would be so great, but are kinda spendy. I have found some knitting patterns (I don't knit) I can kinda sew. Does any one have advice about what fabric to use? Or any tips on making these? I think I could figure out how to sew a tube, it can't be that hard right? I hope not

Do a search for "babylegs". That will give you lots of posts about making your own. You can buy women's knee hi socks and cut off the foot and make it into a cuff to sew onto the bottom. It helps to keep them up and give them a finished look.

I also EC and she only wears the legwarmers and a shirt while at home. They are addictive once you learn how to make them and fairly inexpensive considering babylegs are $12 a piece. I am always on the look out for knee hi especially now that it's winter. Target usually has some cute ones and they have Valentines ones right now.

Thanks! Using the knee high socks looks simple. And yes it does look super addicting. I think I could get pretty creative with em once I got the hang of it.

use women's knee high socks and cut off at the ankle. the bottom should just curl up so you don't have to worry about them unraveling.

I plan on doing some this weekend! I just bought socks for them. I'm really excited and think (hope) it will be easy! Mamamiranda, let me know how yours come along and I'll try to post pictures of mine after this weekend.
