Anyone know where I can buy pink or purple touchtape? And how to dye Aplix?

Diapercuts has stocked pink and purple in the past but are out right now and she doesn't think they'll get any in for quite a while. It was so cute and the only place I'd seen those colors. Anyone know where else I could find pink or purple?

OR...how do you dye Aplix and how does it do? Does it weaken/bother it at all? Does it bleed? I've never dyed and have been really nervous to do so. I can just see myself dying everything a mixture of colors when I do the wash

I know Walmart stocks colored Velcro.

That's an idea. I've heard velcro isn't as good for dipes as Aplix or Touchtape. Maybe I could just use it on the front and still use Aplix or TT for tabs.

www.verybaby.com has a lot of touchtape colors, but no pink or purple. Have you tried e-bay?

Yes I've seen the standard colors at Verybaby as well as 3 other big diaper making stores, but no pink or purple. Ebay was the same situation. I'm still holding out hope

Can someone tell me how to dye Aplix?

I know you're supposed to wash things you dye a couple times alone, so how do I do aplix? Will I just dye it then wash it in the sink a couple times and let it dry in between? Air dry, tumbe dry?
If I just sew it on after the initial dying, will it bleed onto the diaper fabric?

I'm not sure of the fiber content, but I'm pretty sure applix/touch tape is a synthetic and therefore not able to be dyed.

I was able to dye the Aplix on a few proraps with Kool Aide. The same process you would follow for kool aide dying wool.

I've dyed both Aplix and Touchtape easily with Rit Dye (available at all drug, grocery, and arts/crafts stores). Some of the darker colors may fade, but it works great on both hook and loop!
