My birth tub was delivered and is ready to be filled!! It's a heated one too
All the supplies are ready packed up in the co-sleeper bassinet, new towels and blankets washed in dreft, organic olive oil, the birth kit was delivered to the midwife and I have an appt with her today. Any time now!! :-*

I'm so nervous! And excited!

I'm still waiting on my birth kit....I had a serious conversation with God about it last night, so I'm hoping it will be there when I get home from work today. If not...I wonder if God's got a complaint line? :

It must be wonderful to be so prepared! I envy you! Have a beautiful, empowering birthing experience

Me first, me first!!!:

I had an appt with Dawn today too and she has food poisoning so I met with the birth assistant instead. I so look forward to my appts with Dawn .. but you had been curious about the BA, so it probably works out great for you

Congrats on getting your tub.. admit it, its tempting to fill it up and float around in it to test everything out.

I saw her today too. I left my girls at home, they really would have been sad not to have seen Dawn. They LOVE going to the "midlife's" office. So it worked out

OK.... here's the deal. YOU go into labor Sunday or Monday so dawn can recover. I'll go into labor next Thursday so she can have a few days at home before doing another birth... How's that sound??

My husband wants to fill up the pool, but no way, not with 2 toddlers running around, a curious great dane and possible 2 more weeks of pregnancy!! That would spell disaster.

Still waiting on my birth pool!!! Hoping it is here next week!!! Since I am not due until the 19th I hope I still have some time. I told the baby not to come until I have my pool!!

Everything else is all set though all birth supplies....Once I get that pool all systems go

That's exciting! Our birth supplies were delivered on Thurs. and I was so thrilled.. the only thing I'm missing is the hose & adaptor for our birth pool. Still have some laundry to do, but everything is *almost* ready. So exciting!

Midlife.. LOL..

I told Erin to convey to Dawn that I'd give her 48 hours to recover, so that would work out perfectly. What good patients we are, coordinating our births like this.

Did you go early, late or on time with your last two babes? I know what you mean about the birth tub, my golden/lab thinks it is a basketball hoop and keeps dropping his toys in it. I had to put a blanket over it.

3 days early with my last 2. A week late with my first. It's anyones guess. i'm really not having ANY impending labor symptoms. At all.

how exciting!

my mw dropped our tub off a few weeks ago, but just told me at our home visit last sunday that we might want to do a test run adn buy a new hose - the last people who had this or her other tub said the hose was spraying all over the place, lol. so a test run this weekend it is!
