My mom is coming on Monday for 2 weeks, and I think I will feel better once she's here. She will clean my house and cook for me and help watch the kids, etc.

37 weeks and counting. I feel like I still have a looooooong ways to go.

We took down our Christmas tree this morning, I ordered a new camera so I can take pics of this new baby (hooray for Christmas cash), and now I have the day to putter and get a few things done. I just don't have any motivation to actually do any of the things on my list. But I have a list! That's something, right?

You're not the only one left! : I am 41 weeks today! I'd like to join this group too though, if you gals don't mind!

A spoiled beast? You?

Well, yes, actually. No one else seems to be posting about their conjugal prostaglandin injections!

Dh went out to a friend's house last night. I waited up for him. He went to bed immediately and was snoring with minutes. *sigh* This baby is NEVER coming out.

My affirmation for today:

I will find some way to make dh swoon at my swollen, stretchmarked, bloated self and get the prostaglandin I need. Today, dammit!

The more, the merrier! (I may find myself hanging out over in the February DDC eventually, anyway--not due until 1/26).

I'm 37w today. Officially full-term. Nothing is happening. Still waiting...

39 weeks today, and I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing my due date babeless. Which is okay, as MIL arrives Wed. to care for DD, and up until then, we don't really have a care plan for her, but still... I am so done being pregnant. Plus, it's "Fleet Week" next week and DH won't be by his desk, or allowed to carry a cell, so I'll be a panicky, control-freak preggo lady because I can't get a hold of him at all hours of the day.

I wish I could believe in the magic powers of prostaglandins, but DH and I were at it like bunnies the whole of my last pregnancy, and when I was induced at 41+1, my cervix was high, hard, and sealed like a clam. He's willing to try again this time, but he's got a fair amount of body hair, and it irritates my PUPPS rash somethin' awful. (He would die of shame if he knew I were writing this!) I'm not willing to risk the heartburn to try yesterday's "alternate" delivery method, heh heh.

Cheers, mamas. We're almost there.

Andrea, EDD 13th Jan 08.

I'm "due" tomorrow and actually had some birthing waves last night. They calmed down and let me sleep, which is nice. Throughout my pregnancy I've been visualizing my labor beginning in the morning or during the day and wrapping up before the middle of the night.. I don't want to have to battle exhaustion and labor if at all possible. I still haven't had any mucous plug loss, but I really don't think I will until labor, so I've managed to stop scrutinizing the toilet paper every time I pee We are having a low pressure system move through right now and the moon phase aligns with my ovulation, so I'll be curious to see if the baby decides to come soon. Lord knows we are ready.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Mama, I would totally dtd. You could talk to your midwife about doing a Hibiclens wash during labor if you are worried about infection. I wouldnt be worried about it tho, personally.

I haven't read any of the responses yet, but wanted to check in. I'm still here, and still pregnant. 40+2 today. Ds was up and down last night for FOUR hours - dh and I are positively exhausted today. I'm going to nap this afternoon while ds naps...

Had one big, bad pain last night which could have been a contraction, except that there was only one - I was bending over and almost yelled out. Ow. Now I remember what labour feels like....why did I get myself into this again? Oh right, there's a baby at the end.

OK, off to tidy the house - I'll check in again later. Hope one of us is in labour, somewhere!

Hi still here!! 38 weeks and 1 day Trying to deal with nightmares I have been having in the morning.

My MIL took me out and bought me a bunch of beautiful baby clothes today as a surprise I thought we were only going out to lunch but then she surprised me and told me we were going baby shopping too!!

It was so much fun buying some new clothes for the baby I also got a soft comfy robe and pajama set Gotta love those after Christmas sales....

Yeah! Those are amazing! I have never seen cloth diapers looking so dang neat!!! Did you MAKE those?

39 wks today. Sore. Cranky. The odd strong BH that makes me take notice but nothing regular. Soft stools for weeks now (sorry TMI) and feel like I'll be losing some mucous for days at a time. I have been inserting an EPO capsule nightly. My sleep is all over the map. Last night I was busily cleaning the kitchen at 2 a.m. Nesting? Occassionally I am leaking colostrum which makes me very happy.

I have been trying to organize a meeting with the back up doula and so far it's not happened. I'm feeling a little *urgent* about the matter given that next Saturday is officially my due date and I feel like I could go sooner. (Wishful thinking ) It'll happen.

Last night I told dh how my ddc was plodding to get prostaglandin injections from their hubbies. A couple of hours later he noticed I was in a crusty mood and offered, but by then I had worked myself into such frustration with him and felt so unattractive that I didn't feel close to him, yk? I didn't feel "ROWR", I felt beaten down, helpless and ugly. Oh well.

For some reason I've been CRAVING legumes and last night I cooked a lovely lentil barley vegetable stew (with sausage).....ate it with fresh french bread..... Mmmmm!!!!!!!

Here's to another day of baking our babes!!! It doesn't seem like anyone is imminently going to pop today.... though I could be wrong! :

and Welcome. Hope your babe comes soon.

Just hanging out contracting here. Went to the grocery store today, which was super crowded and I have say shopping in a crowded store with a 5 year old while having contractions is not the best way to spend your time

Going back to read updates on everyone else.

38 weeks today, but nothing seems imminent. Very uncomfy, like everyone else, and having a hard time sleeping at night. I'm super constipated from the Zofran, but very nauseous and pukey without the Zofran. I can't wait for this morning sickness to be over!

39wks1d today....and extremely discouraged. Since this is my first, I have nothing but other people to go on for what early labor is like...and of course EVERY person says something different. But, my feet are still very swollen, no loose bowels, TONS of heartburn because baby is STILL WAY HIGH. Plus he is still super SUPER active (isn't that supposed to lessen close to birth?) My dr can't even feel if I'm dilated because he can't reach my cervix...chances are that I'm not though. I've yet to have a single contraction. I have everything here at the house all ready for his arrival...now all I need is baby. Ugh. I hate being a complainer, I'm just having a rough week. DH seems to think that it's ok to go 3 days without even a phone call to his wife, and the fact that I am so close to delivering makes it even worse. I am just a little depressed, which I KNOW isn't good for me or the baby, but I can't help but be overwhelmed by hormones and emotions right now.
