Homebirth Midwives and Doulas in Boulder xposted

My friend is pregnant with her first and due in July. She is moving out to Boulder as I write this. She wants to see a midwife and have a homebirth, so I wanted to get her some good recommendations for homebirth midwives in Boulder. She is already nearly 12 weeks along, so she will probably be anxious to see someone soon. Also, some doula recommendations would be great too!

I assume you mean Boulder, CO? I used Ursula Hessdorfer, and Karen Robinson was her apprentice. She was so, so wonderful. We have since moved and I am so bummed that we are too far away to use her now. Anyway, she lives in Louisville, just outside of Boulder and we just loved her. Good luck to your friend!

You can direct your friend to the Colorado Midwives Association and to the Colorado Alliance of Independent Midwives for referrals. I'm sure there are personal referrals in the Colorado Tribe as well.
