What do you use your cosleeper for? - Page 2

Simon sleeps in the cosleeper during the day for about an hour or so, which is nice since it gives Eliot some time with his mama all to himself. he will not sleep in it at night though, then he wants to be snuggled next to his mama - he must know he has me all to himself then.
Simon is so different from Eliot was as a baby. I could not set Eliot down for a second and he was very demanding - I could not even talk while breastfeeding him or he would stretch my nipple out as far as he could in protest. This kiddo is so chill I dont know where he came from - he will actually sit in the bouncy seat when he is awake and I am eating brekkie or lunch, my family says he must have gotten his temperment from dh and I really have to agree on that one.

My baby isn't born yet, but we always use our co-sleeper(side-carred crib) for the big kid to sleep in.

I hear you there. Cyrus had dog hair on his clothes before he was even born, and the dogs are obsessed with trying to bathe him.

Never had a cosleeper - had a crib originally for DS. Because, you know, kids need to learn to self soothe and parents need their independence from day one.

Never used it once.
Became a hamper.
Threw it on the curb eventually. Was going to sell it, but then decided I didn't even want to bother with it. Its mattress is not being used as part of DS's new sidecar bed that DP is making.

ETA: (A family in need picked it up, so it didn't go to trash.)

The in-bed snuggle nest thing we had for dd1 made a great receptacle for clean diapers, water bottle, and receiving blankets. And after a particularly strong thunderstorm a couple of weeks after her birth we found out it's also a perfect bed for a 50lb basset hound who is terrified of thunder.

Good news: they can also be used a bunk beds.

Sarcasm! We turned the cosleeper, (which is now a "I need somewhere to put down the baby where Ella can't reach while I pee" bassinet in the living room), around so that not only can Ella not get into the bottom, but she can also not lock the cat in. Poor cat. Also note the nifty canopy it came with when we bought it for $20 on craigslist. We laughed at it when we got it, but it has stopped many a 'stray' flying block from bonking Alice, so we are not laughing anymore.

And now that it is not in our room? She will sleep in it. Oh silly girl.

I use my mini co-sleeper for the sleeping baby! OMG! When Fisher falls asleep around midnight, after nursing, I put him in the co-sleeper on top of a sheep skin and can usually get him back to sleep. I take him out to nurse and change during the night, then put him back in once he falls back asleep. (IF he does)

I am LOVING this since dd would only sleep with me for the first 6 months. I'm all for the family bed in theory, but I just don't sleep well with ANYONE touching me.

I use the vibrating seat for the shower and he likes it. He also likes the swing, but I feel guilty leaving him in it. Plus, the chair and swing seem to give him the hiccups every time. He likes the Ergo if he's asleep and the pouch sling if he's very content already.
