how long should i wait?

my merina coil came out today, how long should i wait to ttc? i am worried as it took 5 months ttc dc 2 and 7 months for dc 3 and we really dont want the age gap getting too big. however dc 1 was a hit first time - maybe as i was stillbreastfeeding when ttc dc2 and dc but obiously not dc1. i am not breastfeeding now - may that make a difference? should i wait before ttc?

I personally don't think you need to wait very long at all. If I was in a rush to TTC I'd probably wait to have one normal cycle and then go for it!

Why not start right away? It will be easier to follow your fertility signs after you have a period but I see no reason you have to wait if you don't want to.

i was concerned that the fact that there has been a hormone released by the coil may effect the pregnancy / baby and wondered if we should wait a while to let that leave my system before ttc.
