Finding my MOMS midwife (27yrs ago)

Hi ladies, Im wondering if anyone could help us.

My mom is trying to remember the midwife who helped her back in 1979/80 with my oldest brother. Homebirth was illegal back then in MA, so she went "underground" to find a MW in Ct who was willing to travel to Webster. The midwife was slightly older than my mom, had a baby in a sling/carrier. The midwives assistant was also a surgical nurse at Hannamen Hospital in Worcester Ma.

After a 2 day labor and red flags, she was transferred for a c-section. The midwives assistant was able to switch shifts with another nurse, so she could be my moms nurse at the cesearean.

I have an appointment with MY midwife on the 22nd, Mom is coming with me, and we were trying to think of the name of my moms MW from back then. my mw has asked about my moms experience etc, but now my mom is having a case of "grammy-itis" and cant remember names!

If you have any ideas please pm me! thanks

So how old was your mom in 1980, if this midwife was "slightly older" than she?

I wouldn't know who it is, but I have someone I can run it past who might have an idea.

So this midwife was in her mid-twenties in 1980. OK, I'll ask about it!
