The impressive belly

OK, I must say that my belly is HUGE! I've gained 40 pounds, and it's just about all in my belly. I'm sure my thighs are a bit thicker, but seriously, it's nearly all belly.

I'm built with nearly no waist, so there's no other place for this baby other than directly out in front of me. People have been commenting on my belly for a long time! At the beginning of my third trimester, my tummy was as big as a friend's tummy who was due.

Anyway, of course it's only gotten bigger as time has gone by. Everyone is in awe & amazed by the sight of me. My friends can't get over it, and I proudly pull up my shirt & show it off. We all get a good laugh!

Anyone else?

haha well I went to Rainforest Cafe yesterday for lunch and the guy working there made a "joke" about going in the back and boiling water for me to deliver right then and there lol. Ive been hearing this crap for WEEKS and if I werent pregnant or were much smaller it would be kinda funny but no, this is annoying at this point.. I seriously hear someone make a comment about how huge I am and find it strange that Im only 37 weeks about 15-20 times anytime I go anywhere.. AGHHH I feel you on this!

yesterday I was picking up some onions at walmart and this sweet looking older lady came up to me and in the thickest southern accent said "oooh, you's about to pop! Soon as that moon changes, you gonna have that baby ain't you?"

I thought it funny that she mentioned the full moon. I'm not due close to it, but hey!

actually the next full moon is Jan 22nd..

this was on here in another thread.. in dec DD I think..

Basically you count 9 months from the date of conception according to the moon chart and it should be either right on or close to your due date..

I did it with mine using my *conception date* and it gave me Jan 30th last qtr moon... and Jan 30th was my Original due date from my charting... my DueDate according to US is Jan 25th and the full moon for Jan is Jan 22nd.. crazy!!..

To use the moon chart http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/MoonPhase.php look for your conception date and then look for the date 9 phases later...it will be close to your current EDD.

Yeah big round bellies rock. I love sporting a big round one when preggie. It's one of the times I can ENJOY not having to suck it in! And people seem to enjoy seeing it too. It's wonderous and lovely. :

I agree, I love not having to suck it in for a few months!

However, I am getting tired of the looks and comments that people make to each other when they think I can't hear them. "That's gotta be twins. Right?!" "Whoa, holy sh!t, look at that belly. She's HUGE!" I heard both of those at the mall last week.

Ok!! I didn't think of doing that - I've never posted a pic on here before. I'll get DH to take a pic when he's off from work and try to get it posted!

Aw! I love big bellies too. Mine is really not very large this time. I feel robbed!

I had been shooting for the New Moon but since my favorite midwife isn't on call until the weekend I've asked baby to delay his appearance a bit.

Emese'sMom: So far, it's not working. Cheeky little bugger. Just like his dad.

I measured my belly again this afternoon. The day I went into labour with my dd, I was 12 toilet paper squares around. Two weeks ago, I was 14 toilet paper squares around. The baby has dropped, but I'm still 14 squares. The baby belly is lower, and I feel WAY bigger, I wonder why I haven't gained any squares?

DD and I stopped by dh's work this afternoon to say hi. One of his co-workers walked by and said exclaimed "oh, wow, are you ever huge! Such a difference from just a few weeks ago." Thanks, lady.
