Your Opinions on the "Snap Source Snap Setter"?

Hello,

I am considering buying this snap setter set and snaps but wanted to check around for your opinions before I bought it. Has anyone tried this? It seems like a nice affordable alternative to a heavy duty snap press, but I know it may not be all it seems. Any experiences to share? Thanks!

I have one and I like it, but I don't use it on diapers. I'm not a fan of snaps on diapers and I would be worried about the metal ones rusting over time. But I use it for clothes on mama-pads all the time. It's really easy to use and I haven't had a problem with any snaps coming off.

Thanks for your reply, I think I will try it! I'll be using it for wool covers, so hopefully the metal snaps will be okay as they aren't washed as often as diapers, and I'll also use it for some baby clothes too.

Thanks again

Yeah, it works ok...I can't stand doing them myself, but it works!

I heard that it's a good idea to reinforce wool fabric if you're adding metal snaps. I'm not a sewing expert myself, so I'm afraid I don't have more details...but I'd search around for patterns or something.

HTH!

It works really well, even if it is a bit tedious and loud (banging it with a hammer.) I prefer it for clothes and the like, but it'll work for wool covers too.
