Daily Check-In for 1/7 - Page 3

[QUOTE=othersomethings;10211230]- Even though I've been moaning and complaining about dh not coming near me for eons, I was so NOT in the mood when he offered last night. But I said YES because I figured I'd better get it while I could. Nope, no O for me either. But I was like, "Where were you last week when I was wearing out BOB!!!" (BOB = battery operated boyfriend) Yesterday? Nothing. Making the shopping list in my head while dtd.

Lots of contractions and pains last night. Judging by the intensity I thought "this could be it" but they were irregular and petered out after a few hours. Here's hoping this baby arrives this week. Maybe I'll see if dh will change the oil again as that is what seemed to spur things along last night...

To those in pain - hope you feel better soon. Big all around. :

Well, I think something in happening here. I lost my mucus plug yesterday, woke up today at 4:30am with lots of bloody show, which continued until 6am. Contractions also started at 6am. They seem to be getting closer, I haven't timed them, and they are fairly short but intense. I am trying not to get my hopes up....

Nothing here.... I'm not too uncomfortable most of the time, and the kids are sick and I'm starting to sneeze so I could hold off another week (although I AM anxious!!)

I'm having some show.... but it's just snotlike, not bloody or anything. I've been having sex every day. I've been sitting on my ball. I need to start walking but it's SO cold!!!

mama_y_sol - that sounds promising. Keep us posted!

Strawbrathat - must ask again, did YOU make your fabulous diapers? They are SO cool.

Ow, ow, owwww!!! Woke up last night at 2am, couldn't fall back asleep so sat at the computer for a while and when I stood up it felt like a battering ram had gone off between my pelvis! I finally fell back asleep at 5, kids woke up at 8 and luckily DH let me go back to sleep for a few more hours. I couldn't even put my socks on it hurt to lift my leg so much. I can't remember what engagement felt like but hopefully this is it and it better not last much longer, the only way I'm comfortable is sitting, ugh!

Please soon!!!!!!!!!

Posting first and then I will go back and read the thread.

Had a very busy day today....sans kids...woo hoo!

Went to Costco to stock up on food etc. Then to the healthfood store for a couple things. Then to the mall to return some stuff dd1 got for Christmas and exchange it for some stuff that will fit. Bought the girls matching robes (so cute!) Then I went for a bikini and a brow wax so I think I am good to go. It was really nice to have a day to myself. I think I needed it because today a feel a lot less cranky and like I have a bit more patience to wait for the baby.

YAY only 2 hours until my chiro appointment. That ought to at least make things more comfortable for the next few days/weeks until labor decides to happen. Working on taxes....I figure I might as well get as much of that kind of stuff done NOW as I can. Ours are complex because both DH and I are self-employed, but 2 separate businesses.

No signs of labor. Goodluck to the mommies who are showing signs of labor!!!!

Sounds like some of us are so, so close! I'm so, so excited for you! Today was an absolutley beautiful day here (how can weather go from 9 degrees to nearly 60 in a week?!), so I opened all the windows to air the house out and stitched together some more breast pads. DD is sick - strep for the third time in two months! ugh! Poor little doll is catching every single thing that goes around her kindergarten classroom this year.

I am here. I am not due until the 19th (by charting) or the 23 (LMP), so I will be for a while. We had a really good, low key weekend, have almost everything ready, I still need to sew a few things, but if they don't get done it is OK. Diapers and Car seat are all ready to go, I do need to clean out my car, but it has been snowing for 2 days, so that is not getting done right now .

I am scheduled for a ERCS on the 24th, but am REALLY, REALLY hoping and praying that I go into labor and have an oops homebirth or show up at the hospital with a head hanging out, so say a pray LV for me sometime in the next 3 weeks. I have thought all along that this baby would come on the 7th or 22nd, and it does not look like today, plus my 2 little girls have really nasty colds I would like them to be over before we have a new baby.

In exciting news -
I hired a house cleaner today!! I feel bad, like I should be able to do it all myself, but I just can not do the bathrooms and floors anymore, plus i am tired. SO I know a mutually acquaintance that i heard dose a really good job and is reasonable and she is coming next Monday and said to make a list and she will do what ever I want. I am hoping it works out well and I can keep her coming for a while after the baby is born.

HardCoreMom, this sounds just like what my kids have, a fever for 3-4 days, then it goes away and now they have a yucky rattle cough. Just hoping I don't get it!

Hmpf. Turns out it's "only" sciatic nerve pain. Which is a good thing, I guess, because I can influence that by changing position.

Okay, baby - ready to go!

jess- have you been giving them anything for the symptoms? we usually don't do anything except maybe tylenol- i'm soliciting homeopathic ideas. (my kids very rarely get sick, so um, yeah... kinda hoping they feel better soon! same with yours!!!)

hope everyone has a good night's sleep ahead of them- it sounds like a lot of us are either kept awake by LOs or our own discomforts.

off to finish making dinner- spinach-stuffed chicken breasts. DH should be happy tonight.

Hello ladies! 40+4 here, and no sign of any labor. Well, the thread was long, but my thoughts are with those of you in pain, sick, or with sick kids!

I too have a posterior baby that won't budge from this position (despite 3 months of Chiro/Webster treatments), and I'm nervous about how labor will go. I can't walk without lots of pain. But it'll all be over soon enough.

That's what I keep saying to myself "Be patient, it'll all happen when the time is right, it'll be over soon enough."

Sounds yummy!

We are doing lots of vit c, and emergen-C, plus I constantly run a humidifier with some eucalyputus oil, and a bit of TTO and spearmint in it. The last couple of nights I did give them a dose of cough syrup at bed time, just so they could go to sleep and stop coughing for a bit. Other than that, and a bit of warm water with honey and lemon juice that is it. We are not doctor people either and plan to just wait it out, my kids usually get better fairly fast.

39+3..

just saw my midwife. everything is great..bp is so good (yay!) baby is measuring 37 still.. but i'm not in labor! waaah!~
she said "have lots of sex..6 times a day!" yeah right. its hard enough at home let alone living in my mothers living room! we dtd yesterday morning early but it felt really weird. i guess ill just have to suck it up and do it anyways, awkward or not.

other than that im knitting a cute baby sweater, i got a package from the happy green bee co-op but im so sad because its all huge, even though it said one size infant..i know that it will fit eventually, but i was hoping for some really sweet NB stuff.

my kiddos are at the pool with my sister and dp yay for "me time"

Holy smokes, I am soooooo tired tonight. Dh gave the kids their baths ( ) and I am just sitting here with achey jittery legs. What is with the jimmie-legs?!?

I am off to sink into a hot bath and then hopefully get some sleep.

Sleep, please let me sleep......

i'm crossing my fingers, toes, (everything!) that his/her position won't affect labor too much. i know my pelvis is roomy (my first was 10+ pounds - and i pushed her out in 3 pushes/7 minutes) so i'm hoping the shape of my pelvis helps this baby. but the other part of me is really worried...that the baby won't descend, etc.
Have you checked out www.spinningbabies.com ? They had some good things to try on there like the robozo wrap.
