Check-In 1/7

Am I the first one here? I hope that does not mean I am the only one here!
42 weeks + 2 today. Getting anxious, impatient. I woke up about ten times last night with mild-moderate ctx, but nothing came of it but a crappy night's sleep. I forgot to mention that I've had a cold for the last 10 days or so that is just now getting...WORSE! Ugh.
On the bright side, DH did give me a fantastic foot rub while we listened to some really relaxing Indian music last night. I swear I was nearly in a trance state! It reminded me of my mom's story from when she had my older brother: she was 19, it was 1972, and she was really into yoga. She was so relaxed with her breathing that her blood pressure got too low. A nurse came in and yelled at her that if she didn't get her bp up, she (the nurse) was going to come in with a shot of adrenaline to get it up for her! Needless to say, her bp was up in a hurry!

Does the echoing silence mean that Starry is in labor? If so, many ELVs.
Who else are we missing?
Oh, and it sounds like Ms. Sprout may have been getting onto go time late last night. Yay!

Surely Ms. B. Sprout won't mind me telling y'all that she's in labor?

I hesitate to say "goody," since it's more like boo-hoo for us both. Sending what labor vibes I can spare your way!

This is a love/hate thread. I love reading it and get so excited at the possibility of another baby, but my heart goes out to those who remain. However, if you're still pg, try to enjoy it as you have VERY few days left! I actually miss being pg... not the broken crotch part, which disappeared as soon as I gave birth, but that "special" feeling that you are magic and growing life inside of you and everyone treats you like you are big news.

The end is in sight, mamas! Soon we'll all be in the new group, sharing our triumphs and trials.

Some day I'll even get to my birth story. Can I share it in the new pp group?

Hugs and ELV to all!!

I miss the "only dealing with one child" feeling.

Still here. 41+3 and no baby yet.

I told my DH that its his genetics, all the kids in his family have to be kicked out of the home to get them to leave (like in their 20's).

Oh, and they are never on time for ANYTHING! LOL!

Oh man, that was a GREAT feeling, wasn't it?

Seriously, though, I hope the quiet-ness of this thread means we have more babies joining our ddc soon! Good luck to all of you mamas- you are more patient than I!

Today was so very incredibly stressful - among other things, the day has been one long tantrum for my very overtired 2.5yo. A friend dropped off dark chocolate mint cremes and a mini planted rose bush. :

Had my NST today - walked out of it, started back labor in the car on the way over.

Talked to my OB - checked a few things over I was curious about (as to why baby hasn't switched to total anterior or descended) - and I got exactly what I wanted to get out of the appointment. She rocks.

I did a curiousity cervical check last night - and thought I was around ~4cm, thought that was a bit much so I asked her to check. I'm 6 and stretchy.

Lots of cervical pressure has continued, and I'm really guiding myself through this. Maybe tonight? So I'll be back either tomorrow or in a few days.
