Nursing Mama's how often?

How often are you bf'ing your little one. I swear DS has been nursing constantly lately. My nipples are a little sore today and I'm feeling a bit "over-touched". Anyone else feeling the same or are you nursing less frequently?

I, too, feel like DD is attached to my boob ALL THE TIME! My nipples hurt. I think she is teething, so i hope it stops once she pops some teeth.

Both my kids are sick, so I'm nursing constantly.

My dd still nurses roughly every 2 hours day and night. I am getting a little sore but i'm not sure if it's the pregnancy or her teething. I'm thinking it's the pregnancy because I can tell it is getting a little more uncomfortable every day.

Oh its so nice not to be alone! Its like he knows I'm pregnant therefore he has to be on top of me constantly. Or maybe I'm just noticing it more because my patience is just a little shot.

My ds nurses 3 or 4 times a day and at nap and bedtime. He is CONSTANTLY asking for "ofone" (other one) and switching back and forth. I am not sure but i think my supply may already be dropping I can still get milk when I hand express but it doesn't squirt as easily.

nope- you are NOT alone. DD nurses every 2 hours or less now, whereas before she would go 4. I am thinking my supply is changing already (at 4 weeks??!!)
I totally know what you mean about feeling "touched out" I have always loved nursing Keira and now I find myself actaully getting annoyed at the prospect of having to nurse her for the 5th time in 4 hours.

Ds nurses about 5 times a day and a couple times at night. My supply is dropping though so he is getting a little frustrated. I was having supply issues already and was taking fenugreek but I read it wasn't safe for pregnancy so I stopped that. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong about that.

I am not sure about fenugreek in pregnancy but I was taking it when I thought I was having supply issues and I had to stop because it made my sweat smell like celery. The worst was it took me like a week to figure out where the h*ll the smell was coming from.

Lol, I've never heard that one before! Everything I read says that you know you are taking enough when you start to smell like maple syrup. I never ever smelled any different than usual and I have a very sensitive sense of smell. When I chop celery I am annoyed for days because i can't get the smell off me...I end up rubbing stainless steel until my fingers get raw. Anywho, I went beyond the maximum recommended dose for fenugreek but it never made me smell...didn't work that well either but definitely made a little difference.

Oh yeah, very certainly celery, not maple syrup. I kept thinking it was something with the laundry or washer. I am not in the habit of sniffing my own pits but when I did Good Grief !!! It was celery city.

I get the maple syrup smell really bad when I take it. I haven't in a long long time. This is horrible but I remember going to the lake right after DS was born and I was taking it, I kept thinking its really weird something smells like pancakes. I finally figured out it was me! DH thought it was hillarious.

My DS is 2 1/2 so I have cut way back on the nursing (it is super painful for me). He is night weaned and nursing maybe 3-5 times a day. I find myself saying no a lot more than I like.

I am always trying to get dh to smell stuff and when I told him I thought it was me he didn't believe me. Normally he would refuse to sniff anything I requested, much less sniff where I sweat. But I think he saw the desperation to find the source of the smell in my eyes and he sniffed away. He rolled his eyes and said "Yep, smells like celery, weird." Good times.

Now that I think back on it, ds1 initially increased his nursing right after I got pg with ds2, but it decreased again later. So, maybe that's some hope?
