I'm up for it!

It would be fun to have at least a handful of us doing it though... Let's keep this thread alive, and maybe more will notice.

That pirate is super cute!

Yep, I've been meaning to make DH an amigurumi yoda for- well, forever. TBH, they're the only reason I learnt to crochet in the first place :

This sounds fun. I haven't actually made any yet, but I have a few patterns! Cute pirate!! I love these patterns. http://www.katcrochet.com/freebies.htm
My goal is to make a chihuahua

I'm in, but maybe AFTER the baby is born or maybe I can start in the hospital?

I just finshed dh's first sock today, and will most likely hurry on the other before Friday. Dd knows I am not startign her twin size denyse schmidt quilt until I finsh daddy's sock, so she wants me to hurry! Then I have to knit soakers, make about 40 diapers+covers. Then maybe I can start on some cute little dolls.

I have been drooling over the patterns at my local Kinokuniya forever. I am so wanting to make some of them!

Those look cute! The lionbrand link did not work for me. the second one did and I found some other things about it. What does it mean to not join the "rounds"?
What is a "round?"
I am having trouble understanding how to read the patterns.
I like this bunny from the 2nd link http://www.geocities.com/muslimahkat...urumiBunny.pdf
but I do not understand the directions.
I also found these patterns http://www.squidoo.com/crocheteddolls
I would love to make some.
Can someone please explain what the directions mean and which is the easiest pattern or is there a video or online directions that shows what it means somewhere?
Thank you.

I love the tutorials and videos here:

Rounds are a challenge for me too. The best thing to do is to use stitch markers, so you can remember how many stitches you have done. Crochet directions baffle me too. I just keep rereading and look up stuff I don't understand in books or online. Etsy has a ton of cute patterns too.

OOOOO! I wanna play! I love toys--playing with them, and crocheting them too! I've only made a bear so far, but have been eyeing up the Lion Brand pumpkin, pirate, and monster patterns. I want to make pet toys for the humane society at some point also.

While I was browsing the links in this thread, my daughter was looking over my shoulder, so now I have quite a wish list from her! I think I'll start with a bear, or a penguin, or a pirate...... If anyone finds a koala pattern, please send me a link!

I'll have to look in my bookmarks - I think I have a link to a page that has quite a few that another Mama shared here before.

A lot of the amigurumi patterns I have are (bought) off of etsy.com, and from blogs I've stumbled upon.

Anyone still interested in this thread? I've found some great ami patterns recently and gotten side-tracked from making the cupcake... But I'll post pics of the ones I've made if anyone wants to see!

Just wanted to add, I've made my little Mexican girl pattern free via Ravelry for the rest of February if anyone's interested- Sarita pattern.

Only thing is, my contact info has changed, but I still get that email forwarded so I'll be able to answer questions if any are asked : Happy Valentine's Day!
