Postpartum Feet swelling??

Mine look awful and my winter boots don't fit . . . actually, none of my shoes do. I don't remember them being so swollen with my first. When will this go away? what can I do to help it along??

I was going to reply because I thought it was prenatal feet swelling. Sorry, I don't know about postpartum, though I had a friend tell me she had that after an epidural. I don't know if that has anything to do with yours? Perhaps some dandelion or milk thistle tea to support your liver and flush out toxins would be helpful. Are you drinking lots of water, elevating your feet, and getting rest? Is anything helpful to relieve them at all? Eating lots of protein might help too.

Well hello, just checking in
Both my legs from toes to hip swelled up badly two days before I gave birth & are still bad.
Have you found a solution or any info? TIA

Hope you're enjoying your baby!

Could it just be from not being as mobile as you were before you gave birth? I assume you haven't been up and around as much as you normally would be. That can do it for me sometimes.

Hope you're getting some relief and enjoying that babymoon!

Ohhh I had this! What a pain in the arse! I was so excited that I wouldn't have anymore swelling and bam! I can't fit my shoes.
Anyhow, it went away. I think it was just any excess fluid needed someplace to go. Drink lots of water and put your feet up.

My MW said it could take up to 2 wks to go, drink lots of water, lymphatic drainage massage, epsom salt bath...put feet up. The latter doesn't help much. Oh well, it'll pass...(and yes, I'm enjoying babe! )
