It really drives me crazy

When I mention that I will not vax myself or my daughter and the first thing people say is, "well what about chicken pox"? Ive also been asked, "what about the flu shot"? After informing myself I would not and will not vax against anything but still, its unbelievable how people will bring up those 2 things over everything else. It really just goes to show that people are not the least bit informed on what anything is, and they probably really have no idea what else is on the schedule. It just really irks me. Like Im a bad parent for not doing it. Then I was reading a book called, 'Baby Wise' that my mil got me and I decided to go straight to the vaccine part and it said something along the lines of... As parents it is our job to protect our children, and protecting them means vaccinating them. That went right into the garbage. Sorry but do you ever just get so down in the gutter about the way that were treated for just trying to do what we feel is best for our children?

if so, burn it. lots of patently DANGEROUS advice in that book.

a lot of us have learned the hard way that discussions about not vaxing usually tend to go very poorly.

i don't talk about it much anymore irl, because that kind of angst is just not worth it.
