Playgroup in N. Metro Atlanta 2008 - Page 5

Well, it's Thursday... which is always time to make Friday plans, right?

I'm hoping to hit a class at my gym at 11, but we'd love to do the park before or after that, whether Roswell or Sweet Apple.
I'd be up for the park...depending on how everyone feels about the fact that we are potentially incubating Lula's chicken pox...
We don't mind, Gretchen! I think the kids would love to go to the park, as we have sequestered ourselves at home all week. Lula's all scabbed up now and finally went to one of her classes today.

I think we'll avoid potential pox right now, although em would likely be protected by my own immunities, I'd rather not risk it.

when will you know if you got them, gretchen?

*eta* by avoid I mean we'll skip the park, not that you shouldn't go!
no, I'll totally stay home if any other potential park goers don't want our potential pox! I read the incubation period can be 7-21 days, but usually more like 9-15...we're on day 10 today, I think. I figure if nothing turns up by next tuesday or so, we're probably in the clear.

but for real--if you want to go, go christine! I'm actually feeling kind of icky myself tonight (a cold, not chicken pox), so I don't know whether I'd be up for the park by tomorrow anyway.

totally all right with me, really. it has been cold in the mornings, and you know we'll just get there and my kid will eat sand and want to go
post #87 of 567
I'm feeling very icky today, so I guess I'll hibernate for yet another day rather than coming out and coughing on you guys....

Were out,....My kids have caught something, I wasnt worried about the ckn pox (which we'll also know by Mon/TUes) but they both have yucky snotty noses and Landon has a bad cough, his first.....uuughhh. Thats the kinda sick that worries me... I dont need to worry, I dont need to worry, I dont need to worry.

Hopefully next week! Glad to hear Lula is feeling better!!

(Attempting to plan TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE! Let's see how this goes...)

cold out today, but it's supposed to be 63 on Friday. And we don't have chicken pox (Angela? what about yours?)! So--Sweetapple anyone?

I think we're in
Mine are pox free also! And I think they will be well enough to come on Fri! No fever anymore, just mild runny noses and reisdual cough, I think they are over the bad part. The fresh air will do em good!

Cant believe how cold it was today! I wasnt prepared for that!

Oooooh, this is gonna be fun! My mainstream mom's group (which i've nearly abandoned) is meeting at Sweet Apple on Friday morning. It would be uberfun to straddle both groups. I'd hoped to do a bellydance class at 11, but this might be more amusing.

Sophie and I would love to come, we haven't been to playgroup yet. What time do you plan to meet?

usually we (myself, catie and emily) aim for 10:30. we're often not the first there and never the last.
I'll shoot for 10:30 then. See you Friday!
Love to! We'll see you Friday.

It sure was cold, Angela! We were out all day and we saw snow flurries. Glad the kids are feeling better. Will Jenny come too?
I just love nursing around mainstream moms playgroups,...the last time I overheard a few stories of why they "couldnt" breastfeed,...as though just by simply nursing my 3 mo old, I was condemning them!

Looking forward to meeting you babymann!
