Okay, I read a short story in Science Fiction Digest (I think???) in the late 80s/early 90s.
It was a futuristic novel, about a gang of women who rebelled against society's norm and refused to get a shot that would prevent menstruation. They wore red bandannas tied around around their arms to signify that they menstruated.
Anyone have any clue?
