Hey mamas! I just wanted to tell you something and someone that has kept me going through these trials...
I've been posting about our nursing troubles and a lactivist mama here at MDC that I've never met in person contacted me and offered to pay for two home visits from a really good LC in our area. She doesn't even live near me (very far away as a matter of fact), but she contacted me and I told her who was highly recommended around here.
I can't tell you how much this helped!!!
I know a lot of you can't afford to help a mom the way I've been blessed, but I was thinking. If even a few of you were thinking about buying t-shirts, bags, onesies, key chains, or whatever, instead pooled your money...like if 10 of you each contributed $10 that would be $100 towards an LC visit.
NOT FOR ME, of course, but for another mama. Visit the breastfeeding challenges forum see the blood, sweat, and tears that mamas are putting into bf'ing.
I was so humbled by the gift I received and on my worst day, I think of that wonderful gift and know that if we don't keep going, me and DS won't be the only ones disappointed.
Anyway, I just wanted to say what a wonderful gift it was and I know it would be so helpful to other mamas on here.
