My potential midwife wants me to get a level 3 ultrasound at 20 weeks. There is need for caution - I have Lyme disease. Women with chronic Lyme rarely get pregnant so we truly have no idea what could happen.
BUT are level 3 ultrasounds accurate? I ask because I hear so many stories of docs saying a baby has Downs when the child is perfectly fine.
Thing is, if the ultrasound said something was wrong (and it wasn't), I could lose my homebirth for NO reason.
What do you know? Where could I find good info on this?
Thanks!
