Normal or not?

I'm still bleeding red blood at almost 5 weeks pp. I know I wasn't still bleeding at this point with my other two kids. It's not heavy, most days I don't even fill up one pad. It doesn't seem to be connected at all to what I do or don't do, and honestly I usually don't do much-I just take care of the baby and nurse him almost literally 24/7. Lots of days I go all day with no blood, then in the late afternoon/evening I get some bright red bleeding. It's too much for a pantyliner (ask me how I found out....... I see my mw next week but was wondering if anyone else is going through this too.

I'm sort of in the same boat....At about 5.5 weeks pp. After the first few weeks it seemed I was just about done. It came back with red blood that week after not much activity too and a few times I had some really big clots (to me) and heavy bleeding. Things finally seem to be lightening up, but it's still red.

These are the questions my midwife and ob/cnm's office both asked me:
--lightheaded? fatigued?
--foul odor?
--clots larger than a golf ball?
--fever?
--how often am I changing pads?

They're not to concerned and say that while this is not typical, it's definitely not unusual. The CNM said that for moms who aren't exclusively breastfeeding, they can be getting their first period (can also happen for ebf moms too, but she said unlikely).

So...we're just riding it out. None of them had an explanation except for the one above. They said for some it just takes time. At first I was freaked, but now that the big clots have stopped I'm okay with it and just trying to be positive about it ending soon. I'm very ready to stop wearing a pad!

I was bleeding pretty heavy until recently. I went to the chiropractor and as soon as I got home I went to the bathroom and passed a big clot. Ever since then I haven't had any red blood, just pink. Do you think you could have a clot up there?
