Abbot Nutrition (Similac) has 2 clinical trials listed with clinicaltrials.gov

http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/re...en&show_flds=Y

It would be interesting to inquire into one of those trials, to see how it works.

I feel more and more like we are just some big experiment to these companies

If you find someone who has actually participated, ask them to dig up the consent form they signed. There should be some sort of stampe on it of the research ethics board that approved the study (usually called an "institutional review board"). Many times this is the hospital associated with the study, or a university medical school. Have them call the phone numbers listed on that consent form, and report this as a research ethics violation.

Wow. This is probably illegal. A)It's bait and switch. B)It's false advertising C)It's assault and battery on the infant if the mother does switch to the other "study" because of the free stuff.

Formula use has been called the longest running uncontrolled experiment in history.

I'm not getting that. How so? I certainly do not agree with what they are doing...I think it's low and disgusting. But ultimately it's the mother who chooses...why should Similac be charged for assault and battery on an infant?
