I'm possessed by an evil pregnant twin

I feel so totally unlike myself, and sometimes I wonder who this is that's controlling me. But there's no point in getting to know her, because it'll be someone else in an hour. Or in five minutes.

I (the real me) love cooking and I love eating. : I avoid junk food, I clean the condo regularly, and I enjoy going into the city to shop.

Evil-Pregnant-Twin likes to lay in bed and gets unbearably nauseous on the train. She also rips a new one to anyone who gets between her and a bag of potato chips when she's got a mind to eat them.

Evil-Pregnant-Twin-A gags at the sight of an open fridge and has to force down a banana every hour or so to keep from being too weak to get out of bed. (Crackers were not working, despite what 'everyone' has been telling me.)

Then out of nowhere, Evil-Pregnant-Twin-B takes over when I see the word "Cambodian" and EPTB starts to think of a yummy Cambodian dish I had when I lived in Minnesota. And then EPTB wants to eat it, even though I can't get it here, and EPTB has me rummaging through the kitchen looking for anything noodly as a substitute. Next thing I know, I'm boiling half a box of lasagna noodles on the stove and it occurs to me that I can't just eat plain lasagna noodles. EPTA is back long enough to gag at the fridge as I search for a block of cheddar to grate over my lasagna noodles, which EPTB scarfs down in a ravenous frenzy.

And an hour later I'm hungry again.

I have also turned into a crazy person! I am irratable when I'm normally pretty happy and playful with the kids. I just want to lock myself in my bathroom and take a nice long warm bath today! I am super emotional and I want out of this nightmare! Hormones are crazy things. I hope they level out a bit and my body adjusts soon... probably not though. I predict my family will be living with this crazy person for the next 9 months!

Funny and creative! I too am soooo irritable and hungry -- not such a good mix.

ooooh. Not to revel in anyone's misery, but I'm SOOO glad I'm not alone! I've been super-crankypants the past two weeks! My poor hubby...

Misery does indeed love company

Thanks for making me laugh. I can totally sympathize with the terrible mood swings. Darn those hormones.
