Besides the pint of Phish Food?
Before I was on hormonal BC I would get a sensitive GI tract when I was on my period. I would avoid dairy and too much oil because that was a trigger for me anyway.
Now, with the weird hormones, I tend to get more super fat/sugary cravings and also mood swings that go with eating mega sized candy bars and chips. So, to keep from going over the edge when I am withdrawing from the hormones I go mostly raw and cut back on carbs the three days before the non-reactive pills and then throughout the next week. It's really helped a lot with my mood. When I eat more raw foods I feel better anyway...so I think it's not really about doing ___ helps with my periods rather than ____ makes me feel good so I make sure to do it when I might feel bad.
