Too perfect character

What books have you read that had charcters too perfect to be true?
I'll start with Edward in Twilight...

Your turn.

Sophy from The Grand Sophy. She's a wonderful, fun character. But she never wavers. She never doubts herself. She's never melancholy. If she'd had some moments of doubt, maybe some sadness and regret, she would have been an even more interesting character. At one point she tears up when her eventual love interest thoroughly scolds her. But she then laughingly reveals that she learned how to turn on the tears just to manipulate people. For a split second I wondered if she lied, just to continue to appear invulnerable, and that, finally, her feelings were genuinely hurt . But this book isn't that complex.

Oriole, I suspect you mean 'perfect' in a different way!

That's exactly what I was going to say. It's been years and years since I've read those books, but I just couldn't stand it that Ayla was not only beautiful and kind and whatever, but that she also, what, invented the needle, and singing, and fire, and horseback riding, and so forth. Ugh.

(Sorry if I'm getting the details wrong, like I said, it's been a long time!)

The only thing she couldn't do was singing because of being raised by the Clan.

Ayla came to mind first for me too. Ugh!!! My God, was there anything that woman couldn't do? Especially in the later books!

Jamie from the Outlander Series popped in my mind too, except I think he is just right not too perfect!
