The Cool thing about 3 kids

I am definatly greatful for having 3 kids.

I realized this while watching my 2 yr old climb into the car by herself and then into her carseat. She can't buckle it, but thats probably not far behind.

I taught her how to get into her seat out of NECESSITY. Because I feel like with (2) Kids, I could definatly get by with "doing everything for them" but with 3 kids, I am forced to teach them how to do stuff on their own.

I cant do it all!

My parents, nor my dh's parents never did much in the way of teaching us about various aspects of life, like cleaning, and i feel a bit crippled by that sometimes.

Thanks... I needed this.

I'm the oldest of seven kids and definitely recognized the benefits of large families while I was growing up... unfortunately, in my post-partum fog the past 11 days I haven't been able to remember any of those benefits and I've just been totally stressed over getting three kids in and out of cars, and to sleep at night, and juggling feeding the older two while nursing the baby (and how to nurse two at the same time ).

It's good to remember that though I'm teaching my children many life skills simply out of necessity... that at least I'm teaching them.

It is really really really hard to have multiple kids!

But I think my family is meant to be this way. I am not meant to have only one child. I am totally not good enough at playing.

Big familys ROCK!

Me too... I'm not sure how parents of one child can manage... I have a really hard time getting down on the floor and spending hours playing with my kids... if they didn't have each other I would feel really bad for them.

me too! sometimes i try to be mad at our parents instead of myself and DH when our home is a pathetic disaster.

my 20mo can do a surprising amount of things for herself also, and i've been trying to teach her more. it's pretty cute to see her butt hanging out of her pants b/c she doesn't always pull the back up yet!
