Tilted uterus...

My uterus is tilted all the way to the right side of my abdomen, causing my cervix to be all the way against the left side
Has anyone else had this issue? My midwives said I will probably have very severe menstrual like cramps before I ever go into labor because my uterus is going to try & straighten itself out. That doesn't sound like fun... I've been trying to massage her over to the other side & I almost always lay on my left side but it doesn't seems to be working at all. Maybe all my intestines are over there blocking the way??

Hmmmm. Strange. Well I seem to have a bit of a lopsided uterus myself, when I have a BH it looks like baby's bum is sticking up on the left side when we know she is lying with her bum on the right side. ??? The midwives haven't said anything about it. Sorry I'm not much help. I wonder if some baby spinning exercises (like being hands and knees) would help position the babe and uterus position better? Sorry, not sure!

Was it tilted with all of your other pregnancies too?

Hey MAMARabbit!! I think I met you when we had our tummies palpated at BirthingWay... How are you? I hope your little one is happily growing! Anyway, I have a tilted uterus also and have had no issues in my past two births. I was induced though, and made to stay in bed with back labor I also heard that your uterus should straighten out long before labor, but not sure.

Well, hope everything is beautiful! PM me if you want to get together or anything

Peace
Sara

That was one of my concerns. The midwife said when she went to do the exam that she felt the baby's head first & had to search for the cervix, which was way over to the side. I thought if her head wasn't pushing on the cervix maybe it wouldn't dilate as fast or soon...

Did you have to be induced like vegemamato? Where the babes post-dates or early?

Nope. They came at 38 and 39 weeks. I hope this one follows suit- I'm ready
